Fazenda Vila Rosa is a true dive into the history and culture of cacao in Bahia. Located 20 km from Itacaré, on the banks of the Rio de Contas, this former 19th-century farmhouse is a historic treasure surrounded by ornamental gardens and natural stone pools. Antique furniture, wall murals and hydraulic tile floors create a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the stories of Gabriela, immortalized by Jorge Amado.
The tour is a full immersion into the world of cacao, led by experienced local guides. You will see the plantation, follow the harvest and learn about the fermentation and drying processes of the seeds. The visit continues at the chocolate factory, where you can see up close the transformation of cacao into artisanal products.
The experience is enriched by a visit to the Vila Rosa Mansion, a historic building that preserves the memory of the golden age of cacao. At the end there is a chocolate tasting and a small shop with artisanal products made on the farm itself.
